Started From Sober Now I’m Tipsy

tumblr_mvyx5wguxG1sssqw0o1_500i didn’t think i was gonna get up today.
i been in an out of sleep all day.

so thursday i received a text from a wolfie friend of mine.
he was telling me how much he appreciated that thing i did for him…

oh he is straight btw.
strictly platonic.
lets rewind a bit for this story.

like three weeks ago,
we were talkin’ in texts and he mentioned how he got a lead for a new job.
this new job was ten times better than his current one.
the pay was good,
at a better company,
and he was just tired of his old one.
the problem was that his resume was a mess.
he needed to send the resume that same day we were talking.
i told him to send me his resume so i could look it over.

giphy-126well it definitely was a mess.
it was all over the place,
the was out dated,
and the font choice was terrible.

while i was at work,
i decided to clean it up and give it the “le luxe le fox” special.
i sent it back to him,
along with a pdf version,
and he was super impressed with my skills on the keys.
um…
duh.
you ain’t know this is what jamari fox does?
so he sent it immediately to his contact about the job.
  wellllllllllllllllll guess what?

 got the interview
ended up getting the job that same day

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz2#pow
fast forward to thursday.
he sent me a text saying he was having a farewell get together at this bar.
he wanted me to come through because he was so grateful for what i did.

i contemplated if i was going,
as i have gone rogue,
but i decided to show my face.
when i got there,
he greeted me with open arms and loud cheering:

“AAAYYYYEEEEEE!
JAMARI IS HERE!!!!
MY MAN!!!”

…like loud that the bar was lookin’ in my direction.
you would have thought i was some kind of celeb.
a lot of wolves and vxiens came out for his get together.
his old colleges and friends.
everyone was dressed like they were coming from work.
there was a quite a bit of people there for him.
he had a few fine wolf friends too.
well he introduced me to everyone as “the one who got him the new job”.
it made me feel good to know that i helped him.

“get this dude a corona!”

well lets just say i got a lot of coronas..
we also drank shots as well.
tumblr_mhcmt9AriK1rue90ro1_500i got so tipsy,
but i didn’t even care.
i was letting my fur down.
i tend to get real chatty when i’m feelin’ nice.
i was making people laugh.
telling them about liar liar and all the antics.
it lead into everyone sharing their job horror stories.
after weeks of feeling sad,
it felt good to be out and mingling.
my only wish it was with wolves that got down tho.
i also get really horny when i get some drinks in me.

after like 2 hours in,
most of the wolves started trying to get at these after work snow bunnies.
that was my que to make my exit.
when i went to give my homeboy dap and congratulate him again,
he slipped me 50 dollars and told me “thank you”.
you know i had the kool aid smile on right?
that money will go right on my credit card bill.
when i got home,
i took 2 sleepin’ pills and literally crashed on the couch.
before i did,
i sent a mass text to everyone in my phone:

I’M LOOKIN’ FOR A NEW JOB.
ANYONE KNOW ANY GOOD LEADS WITH MY POSITION OR BETTER,
PLEASE LET ME KNOW!
IF YOU KNOW OF ANYTHING IN THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY,
ALSO LET ME KNOW AS WELL!

i’ll be working on my resume next.
i’m ready to move on.

  1. Damn, I should send you my resume.

    Question,

Do sleeping pills help you sleep better? And if the answer is yes, which ones do you take?

    1. ^yes!

well this “zzzquil” has me feelin stupid groggy today.
a doctor told me that he prescribes benadryl to people with insomina.
so i started taking that and it helped.
take it for a week around the time you want to go to bed.

  2. I know that’s right, got a little drink in ya now time to make that bigger and better things happen

  3. Well it was nice that you could help him out, but do not worry good karma is going to come your way. Just continue to perform well at your current job until another opportunity presents itself.
