Rest In Peace, Prodigy of Mobb Deep

death is something we see never coming.
the news of prodigy from mobb deep’s passing today was a shocker.
i wasn’t deep into mobb deep as others were,
but that group that brought one of my favorite remixes

quiet storm remix feat. lil kim

kim ATE that track.
one of her legendary verses.
i loved their features on:

that’s when i was in the streets with the wronnnnngggg wolves.

  1. I didn’t know him because I am not really a rap fan but RIP.
TMZ claims he choked on a egg.

As for sickle cell I have the trait but I have had several cousins die from complications from Sickle Cell.

In good news, one of my cousins is in an research study at Johns Hopkins.Back in 2015 she was I believe, the first adult ,to undergo an experimental procedure where they gave her a bone marrow transplant. She also had to go through chemotherapy. She no longer has sickle cell because she has the bone marrow (blood) of the healthy donor. She had a lot of side effects from the treatment though , like gaining a lot of weight, losing her hair, etc but right now she is in remission when it comes to sickle cell.Unfortunately this procedure is not available to the general public yet.She is acting like a guinea pig and they don’t know the long term prognosis. It has worked for young kids but she is one of the first adults to participate in the research study.John Hopkins has a Sickle Cell Center.Hopefully this will be a game changer in terms of treating or curing Sickle Cell.

  2. RIP. Mobb Deep is one of my favorite rap groups. Their CD’s are my go-to’s when the garbage they play on the radio comes on nowadays. Their debut CD is my favorite though…The Infamous!
Hey Luv with 112 is my jam!

  3. I loved that album also bro. Sickle Cell Anemia is a terrible disease. I hope there is a cure very soon. I know of a few people that suffer from it. R.I.P. Prodigy
