pfizer phatties, assemble your posts and statuses on ig because we have arrived!

well pfizer phatties,
i guess the flexin’ will be starting soon.
you know the ones on social media.

“PFIZER PHATTIES STAND TF UP ????????????????”

…and i’m already cringing.
so i guess this means folks who aren’t jabbed can’t use this excuse anymore.
per the fda website…

Today, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved the first COVID-19 vaccine. The vaccine has been known as the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine, and will now be marketed as Comirnaty (koe-mir’-na-tee), for the prevention of COVID-19 disease in individuals 16 years of age and older. The vaccine also continues to be available under emergency use authorization (EUA), including for individuals 12 through 15 years of age and for the administration of a third dose in certain immunocompromised individuals.

The FDA’s approval of this vaccine is a milestone as we continue to battle the COVID-19 pandemic. While this and other vaccines have met the FDA’s rigorous, scientific standards for emergency use authorization, as the first FDA-approved COVID-19 vaccine, the public can be very confident that this vaccine meets the high standards for safety, effectiveness, and manufacturing quality the FDA requires of an approved product,” said Acting FDA Commissioner Janet Woodcock, M.D. “While millions of people have already safely received COVID-19 vaccines, we recognize that for some, the FDA approval of a vaccine may now instill additional confidence to get vaccinated. Today’s milestone puts us one step closer to altering the course of this pandemic in the U.S.”

Since Dec. 11, 2020, the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine has been available under EUA in individuals 16 years of age and older, and the authorization was expanded to include those 12 through 15 years of age on May 10, 2021. EUAs can be used by the FDA during public health emergencies to provide access to medical products that may be effective in preventing, diagnosing, or treating a disease, provided that the FDA determines that the known and potential benefits of a product, when used to prevent, diagnose, or treat the disease, outweigh the known and potential risks of the product.

it’s crazy how when i finally got jabbed,
many of my friends who were hesitant ended up getting jabbed too.
i beez inspiring people ‘n’ shit.
i’m glad i waited too.

i hope those who aren’t jabbed are still gonna follow protocols.

Mask up
Wash hands
Social distancing

i have a feeling that since the fda is starting to approve the jabs,
it’s about to get really real with these mandates.
for those who are still hesitant,
this is a video i shared from tiktok on my ig foxhole.
it’s a scientist squashing claims from an anti-vaxxer:

but i hope whatever choices you make will be the right one for your lives.

  1. Approval or not, the people against it will find an excuse somehow to still not take it. I will say that it’s shocking to see black people be so against it given that the healthcare system is not kind to us when we get sick. I will be getting the booster shot and a shot every year. If others want to risk their lives, it’s their funerals at this point.

  2. VERY interesting. AstraZeneca (not approved in the US) was going for emergency authorization, but was so confident that they withdrew their emergency application and applied for full approval. I read the other companies were nervous and now looky look, Pfizer is suddenly fully approved.

  3. The anti-vaxxers aren’t coming from a place of rationality. I have yet to come across one that had a coherent, credible, and scientific basis for their position. The anti-vaxxer in the video sounds so “scientifical”, but she clearly needs to go retake high school biology. Just loud and wrong with her made-up facts.

I totally understand being skeptical and concerned about potential side effects (as rare they are), but I don’t understand or respect using fake facts to justify your bs position. And let’s not kid ourselves. If most of the anti-vaxxers were masking and social distancing in lieu of getting the vaccine, we wouldn’t be in the mess we’re currently in.

    1. Preach it, Preacher. You said that! And don’t even take up ICU space or go to the hospital if you do not believe it is real.

  4. I hope it does sway some ‘Anti Vaxxers” , but those people are determined to not get the vaccine. I’m trying to understand how they feel . (None of their arguments convince me.)

    It must be "Fear" .

It’s hard to feel sorry when I see them in ICU. When the pandemic first hit, I was devastated by the deaths and hospitalizations. This time around I feel it’s their right to end up there and I must accept it. Am I happy ?? No, it’s sad.
