PAULA DEEN IS NOT A RACIST!!! SUPPORT HER!!

tumblr_inline_movjk2oSpK1qz4rgpthere is no doubt paula deen would have defenders.
i’m sure they’re all obese with diabetes like her hog ass.
well a black pastor offers his explanation to why she isn’t a racist…

22649007_BG1The Food Network announced Friday that it will not renew the contract of Paula Deen after she admitted using a racial epithet – but a black pastor who is friends with the celebrity chef said she “can’t be a racist.” Deen apologized Friday for “the wrong that I’ve done,” a move that follows revelations this week that she admitted saying the N-word.

But Pastor Gregory A. Tyson Sr. from First Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Savannah, Georgia, defended Deen to WTOC, a CNN affiliate. “I know her,” Tyson said. “My children have been to her house. I’ve been to her house, I’ve sat on her furniture. I’ve been all through her house. What racist would let a black man walk all through her house?” Tyson also said he is pastor to Hollis Johnson – the black man who manages much of Deen’s affairs, travels everywhere with her, owns a successful limo company with a fleet of cars that Deen helped finance.

“She is a mother to him, a mother figure,” Tyson said. “People are going to jump on it and believe what they want to believe and add what they want to add,” said Tyson. “But one thing I can sit here today and look you in the face and tell you is that woman can’t be a racist.”

“She can’t have a heart against black people with all that she had done, and all she continues to do,” Tyson continued. “That is why I’m here with you today to be a character witness for miss Paula Deen because she is a beautiful person, a beautiful spirit.”

Asked what he thinks about Deen’s admission that she has used the N-word, Tyson said, “Who hasn’t? That doesn’t make her a racist. Would a racist gives thousands of dollars to an organization that helps black boys?”

3B5Hdidn’t the slave masters have the slaves all up in the house?
how much did she pay this coon?

damage control is on an all time high right now.
how could any black person defend her after reading the complaint?

x read it all here

x (bonus) paula testimony

the complaint was from a white worker.
what also puzzles me is how hear workers put up with that abuse?
all this:

It turns out that Paula Deen may not have just been racist twice (first when she used the n-word to describe a black man who held her at gunpoint, then when she wanted tap-dancing black men dressed as slaves to cater a wedding). She may have been racist at least three, or even four times, according to a lawsuit filed by her former employees. (Maybe — gasp — she might have been racist at All The Times?)

The Rainbow/PUSH Coalition, a prominent civil rights group, told The Huffington Post that Deen’s employees had repeatedly experienced serious racial discrimination — the kind that actually violates federal equal opportunity law:

[An attorney for Rainbow/PUSH] said one current and two former employees told him white employees are routinely paid more than black employees and are promoted more quickly. A black man who had threatened to go to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission said Deen’s brother told him “you don’t have any civil rights here,” Rainbow/PUSH said in a press release.

Rainbow/PUSH said it has “found evidence of systemic racial discimination and harassment” by Deen and that “a family member consistently referred to a black cook as ‘my little monkey.’”

Patillo, who conducted interviews in Savannah where Deen’s restaurant is located, said current and former employees told him that Deen “preferred white and light-skinned blacks to work with customers” and that darker-skinned blacks were relegated to “back-of-the-house operations.”

If this is true (and keep in mind, these are still allegations at this point), this makes Deen’s admitted use of the “n-word” more than just the jokes she claimed they were in her deposition — it’s systematic and abhorrent racism.

  1. This happens more in the south than people think. I really do think that she has no idea that her language is offensive. She’s an old lady who grew up in those times in the south.
I work at a predominately white bar, and I see/hear a lot of talk about race (especially Obama). One night a regular came in and he was heavilly intoxicated. Long story short, in so many words he called me the N word to my face. It took everything in my power for me not to jump over the bar and crack a bottle over his head. The other bartenders who I work with are white, and they were offended also (as well as the customers)…a customer actually went off on him heavy. I had to walk outside and get myself together. I was pissed off!
That just showed me that racism is still alive and well. So that comment she made in the video about “the south is less racist…” is really false!

  2. Smithfield just dropped her she had a line of hams with them.People are asking why Black employees would put up with her racist comments? I read her restaurant paid more than other restaurants in Savannah. Most of her kitchen staff is not very educated so they put up with the BS to put food on their tables. I’m from the South(Texas) and for a white person in their sixties she is not atypical. I guarantee you she has no clue that the comments she made in that video are offensive. SHE” loves Hollis she doesn’t care he is colored “

      1. I have mixed feelings. I am one of those people who find the N word offensive even when it is used by Blacks.I never use that word or the F word(gay slur ).But I can’t stand double standards so if her sponsor or Food Network drop her for using offensive language that same policy should apply for everyone. So if the Neelys or Big Daddy (black chefs on the network ) use those words they should be fired too
I am more upset by these allegations of racial discrimination mentioned by Rainbow /Push than N word.Funny story I just took my aunt to the doctor last week she is 72 and she said “I hope that colored girl is off today I don’t like her ” 2013 and my aunt who grew up in east Tx still uses the term colored girl when referencing a nurse at her doctors’ office. BTW my aunt uses the N word too..This is why I have mixed feelings about this. When I say N word I am referring to Ni##er not N##ga.

      2. Im just gonna put my two cents in and thats it, I dont know about other regions of the country because I dont particulary pay attention to the waitstaff, but I was a waiter in college I wont say where but it was in the south and they make it clear that they want more presentable people working with the customers, and I waited tables at more than one restaurant and usually all the people who worked in the back were male/ not as articulate, tatted-up, or darker they were fun to look at and flirt with though even took one home a couple times he stole my credit card, cds out of my car, and always asked me for money(jus saying) but he had an anaconda and was fine as shit so I overlooked it and cancelled the card on that ass before he used it

  3. i’m surprised that he didnt flip her butterball ass over.
    i cant comprehend that.
maybe i was raised that slick comments like that will either get you punched or cursed out.

  4. the plantation themed wedding with the “niggers dressed up in bow ties” was such a disgusting statement.
this whole thing is showing america who are racists and uncle toms.
watch the defensive tweets and who they are coming from.

  5. How dare her call an employee a monkey. That is offensive, I don’t care what no one says.
