PARENTS OF TRANS KIDS ARE ABOUT TO BE THROWN IN JAIL IN TEXAS

do we need to saw off texas as bugs bunny did to florida?
governor greg abbott is on about one thousand right now.
he is about to have the parents of trans kids investigated and prosecuted.
why?
he is claiming child abuse per twitter…

okay,
uh,
this is scary af.
some parents could go to jail or lose their kid(s) over this.
i can’t even describe how this could turn into a witch hunt.
i’m not trans but i’d imagine not every trans child wants to transition.
i knew texas was on one when they wanted to ( x this to happen ).
i shouldn’t expect anything less from this state.

  1. Its going to be interesting to see how this harms people that just have naturally masculine features (on women) and naturally feminine features (on men).

Kind of reminds me of the women only app that excluded a lot of women for looking masculine but would allow men on the platform.

  2. I sometimes wonder how much immense long-term suffering by children of dysfunctional rearing might have been prevented had the parent(s) received, as high school students, some crucial child development science education by way of mandatory curriculum. After all, dysfunctional and/or abusive parents, for example, may not have had the chance to be anything else due to their lack of such education and their own dysfunctional/abusive rearing as children. If nothing else, such curriculum could offer students an idea/clue as to whether they’re emotionally suited for the immense responsibility and strains of parenthood.

Regardless, countless people will procreate regardless of their questionable ability to raise their children in a psychologically functional/healthy manner. Being free nations, society cannot prevent anyone from bearing children; society can, however, educate all young people for the most important job ever, even those high-schoolers who plan to remain childless.

The health of all children — and not just whining over what other parents’ children might or will cost us as future criminals or costly cases of government care, etcetera — needs to be of real importance to us all, regardless of how well our own developing children are doing. A physically and mentally sound future should be every child’s fundamental right — along with air, water, food and shelter — especially considering the very troubled world into which they never asked to enter. And mindlessly minding our own business on such matters has too often proven humanly devastating.
