in a twist that made me swallow my banana whole,
all of the charges against him were dropped early today.
not only that,
his record was expunged like nothing happened.

in my head,
there are definitely a lot of moving parts involved.
we may never know the truth and the forces that be want this gone.
even though the story from is still shifty af,
i’m glad there is an end to this long drawn out drama.
it was making no sense at every twist and turn.
jussie cannot feel any kind of way if folks questioned his story.
if any random civilian was to recount that story on the news,
we would look at them like they were insane.

even though jussie has been cleared,
the court of public opinion has still found him guilty.
i don’t think that will change anytime soon.

It’s poetic justice that the prosecutor who engineered giving Jussie this “GO” pass is named…Magats!

So basically the prosecutor’s office ain’t handle their business correctly and they were about to get exposed on a technicality, so they cut a deal with Smollet’s legal team for $10,000 fine and community service for all of this to go away to cover everybody’s ass and a win-win for all involved, hence why the case is sealed. This doesn’t prove innocence or guilt. All it proves is that the Chicago PD screwed up. We may never know the truth and Im sure some of the powers that be prefer it stay that way.
In any case, I’m glad this whole soap opera is over and hopefully, there’s no more twists and turns to come but judging by all the flip-flopping and shenanigans that have been going on, I would not be surprised.
Anyways, congrats on getting off on a technicality Jussie! Hopefully you’ll keep a low profile and don’t go on a publicity tour gloating about being the “gay Tupac”.
The simple truth is there were leaks from the police from the beginning & then that fat ass police cheif held a press conference & took is ass to GMA the next morning, there is no way Jussie wouldāve gotten a fair trial.

The fact the details of the case are sealed definitely gives me pause. My guess is this was a two way deal where both parties get to save face. He can’t sue the CPD and he gets to keep denying to the media and probably lying in future interviews because no one can see the records.

Agreed. Also, yall know the powers that be at FOX studios aren’t going to let their golden goose get away that easily. All them Fox studio executives and powerful people behind him could have easily made a few phone calls, greased the right palms, pay off the right folks and make this whole thing go away. They invested lots of money into the show Empire, they want a return on investment. Anyone who is familiar with CPD knows they are a corrupt POS. That mayor is the worst. I suspect that what really happened is that the feds got involved, and said NO..U don’t have evidence to charge him.I also wonder if the prosecution knew thst the charges were a load of ish and refused to go along with their wishes because it was a set up. That mayor is a dog, I put nothing past him. The prosecutors stood their ground not wanting to lie, get caught so they said no.
There’s no way to convince me that they would completely drop those charges like thst. Something happened and they were forced to. maybe even thumped up charges, fake narrative and someone threatened to go public, so they backed down.
