ios 11 and The Drama It Brung?

every since ios 11 came out,
i have been on the lowkey fox stalk the ( x mac rumors ) forums.
legit obsessed.
why?…

I WAS SCARED AF TO PUT IT ON MY PHONE

the reviews were not good,
like,
at all.
everyone was talking about battery issues and other problems.
after the last update,
that had my phone all fucked up,
i was high key hesitant to download it.
i finally got ios 10(.3.3) to work,
even though it was bootleg af.

friday night,
after backing up my phone,
i decided to go #yolo.
i put on my big fox drawz and took the plunge.
i hit “update new software” for ios 11.
foxhole…

…i really like it.
like,
i don’t know if my 7+ is an exception,
but it as my phone working smoothly.
THANK.
GOD.
i updated it through my computer,
rather than on wifi.
i feel like it doesn’t update properly doing that.
my battery lasted a whole day with heavy use too.
i got some good mileage out of it.
everything is running sharp and quick.
it makes me realize ios 10 was fuckin’ horrible.
i’m still in test mode tho.
we sha’ll see during a full work day tomorrow.
now my experience maybe different from yours.
take into consideration the 6 and 6+ are older.
this update is crazy high tech.
either way,
i’ll allow it (but with heavy research on your end).

lowkey: i cancelled my apple music.
that shit fucked up my music collection.
until i figure that out,
i’ll continue to use/pay for spotify.

  1. Regarding your Apple Music, after you first purchase Apple Music, go to Settings and then to the Music section. Under the Library section, switch iCloud Music Library to off. By doing this your personal music won’t be affected or altered, and you’ll be able to listen to both without one effecting the other. Hope that helps.

  2. I love the new screen recording feature. Everything else is still years behind Android. Oh, and Siri still sucks ass. She understands almost nothing, and I can’t speak with a complete sentence before she interrupts me with some bullshtt I never asked for. I just use Google’s voice assistant on my iPhone. 2x more accurate than siri.

  3. I only had an iPhone once, switch to Android afterwards and have never went back. I know it depends on preference tho. I hope your test run smoothly.
