if ya’ll want to go outside, then you must go outside

i’m at this point where if folks want to go outside during a pandemic,
then we must let them.
i heard they were outside in droves in prospect park in bk yesterday.
many were day drinking in the park,
no masks on,
and no social distancing either.
jamari fox won’t be attending,
but thank you.
some white folks have made their signs and are standing outside with no masks on,
protesting their right to be outside.
we have been under quarantine for the last two months and looking like longer.
personally,
i’ve been my most busiest and have adjusted to this new way of life.
since states have opened up,
there has been a bump in new cases and deaths all across the country.
this is what i read via “business insider“…

The US suffered its biggest one-day death toll from the coronavirus to date on Friday, as several states are beginning to reopen parts of their economies and ease lockdown measures.

According to data published by the World Health Organization (WHO) on May 1 at 4 a.m. ET, the country recorded 2,909 deaths in 24 hours — its worst number yet.

The previous record was on April 23, when the country saw 2,471 deaths in one day, according to CNBC. At the time of writing, there have been more than 67,000 coronavirus-related deaths in the US.

The new figure comes as around half of US states have already partially eased lockdown restrictions, according to the BBC.

personally:

I feel like this “opening up the states” is a social experiment.
They need people to literally be guinea pigs.
So open up everything and have the masses get the virus so they can test on them.

Have the test dummies go outside and see how the virus spreads/bad it is.
Some will die and others will be asymptomatic.

i get that things are terrible and folks are bored right now.
the economy is in the shitter and life is literally stagnant,
but at the end of the day,
i’d rather they fix this shit so i don’t have to wear a mask to do everything.
i don’t want to go to a restaurant and we have to wait 2 hours,
only because they can sit 10 people in a 30 person establishment.
the fuckin’ mta is gonna be a shit show.
folks gonna have to wake up 3 hours beforehand to get to work.
don’t even get me started on the chore that is getting groceries.
i’m interested how they’re gonna do alla this in a city like ny.

everyone wants to get some crayola crayons and make cute signs,
but i don’t ever see them protesting other shit that’s more important.
our president is literally a moron and has brought the country to it’s knees.

Where is the protesting of him?

he literally didn’t take it serious and said it was a joke.
the joke is everyone has to sit in the house until they resolve this issue.
so they can go outside,
but when nana,
pook pook,
mommy dearest,
or big daddy drop dead because you passed the rona onto them…

I hope they make a sign for that.

low-key: i told folks they need to invest in a video game system.
ps4,
x box,
or a switch with some good games to keep you occupied.
this is why i told folks to start investing in self because you never know.
folks who got shit going on aren’t bored.

  1. I dnt think we should stop wearing mask & gloves, but realistically how long do people think America can just “shut down”??? I’m not trying to be unsympathetic but there is going to be SOME sort of second wave no matter how long we wait, we’re only 2 months in and ALREADY sooooo many businesses will not be able to reopen 😔 Do y’all HONESTLY think the government is just gonna let us stay home all summer & fall, NOT A CHANCE! it’s not always about what’s right, but WHAT IS, and realistically we cannot all stay home for a virus That will not kill EVERY person that catches it, I KNOW it sounds insensitive, but I just know the government is NOT going to coddle us for long

  2. Honestly to me this opening up is 100% about unemployment. They do not want to pay people to sit home and do nothing. If they ease restrictions they can deny help to businesses that don’t open or people afraid to work.

My biggest fear is that people will get use to the deaths. That people will just go about their business as if nothing is happening. I just hope I’m not allowed to work for two more months. If I get two more months of unemployment and another $1200 check I might quit my job. And stay home for the rest of the year.

  3. They should make ALL THE _ _____ PEOPLE who are protesting -Sign a waiver to pay for their Medical Care should they fall ill from the virus– ..

  4. I just want them to start arresting people and gassing out these places. The only reason they want outside open is because minorities are the most impacted. Oh and they want their roots touched up.

  5. Natural selection at its best. Darwin would be so proud. I just feel sorry for the soon to be overworked hospital staff, if they aren’t already, that’s about to be overrun with a slew of new idiot cases.

BTW…you should have seen the mess in Atlanta in Piedmont Park. It looked like Music Midtown with the crowds.
