HOW WOULD WE ACT IF DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME WAS PERMANENT?

whenever the powers that be wants to change something,
my first response is:

“What’s the scheme?”

it seems they are trying to make daylight savings time permanent

The U.S. Senate on Tuesday passed legislation that would make daylight saving time permanent starting in 2023, ending the twice-annual changing of clocks in a move promoted by supporters advocating brighter afternoons and more economic activity.

The Senate approved the measure, called the Sunshine Protection Act, unanimously by voice vote. The House of Representatives, which has held a committee hearing on the matter, still must pass the bill before it can go to President Joe Biden to sign. The White House has not said whether Biden supports it.

uh-huh.
so uh…

What’s the catch 22 with this?

i know the days will be longer with the sun being out more.
i guess that is a good thing,
right?

  1. My question ❓ is
” How are you going to make the 🌞 Sun obey the will of man”?
Is there technology or s mechanism available to command that nature obeys?
God controls the 🌚 moon ⭐ stars 🌞 Sun.
    I am missing something.

  2. Ok so… make this where a fifth grader can understand. I know some parts of the world, don’t recognize Daylight Savings time. Some things in the US are regional. In the Midwest, yes we know about Daylight Savings in the Spring, we lose an hour of sleep. “Making it permanent”, so the clocks won’t change in November? Daylight Savings Time will just be time period? The whole concept wasn’t about money tho. You can’t change the clocks to make people spend money. You got crackheads spending loose change everyday whether its for a hit or a drink with the drunks. None of them ever know what time it is, they just know its time for another shot, bump, or hit.

  3. in my throwback Cardi B voice WHAT’S THE REASON?! Many people (including myself) are shopping online, going out less, and working from home. Adding more sunlight to the day ain’t gonna make my give up my new-normal routine! Plus I hate summertime, because that’s when the “knee-grows” really act a fool in these streets …

  4. Yeah like The comment above said, with our economy like it is they will DO ANYTHING to get people out & spending, I think that’s the only “catch” I cnt see it hurting anything, in the winter it’s STILL gonna be dark earlier just at 6 instead of 5 lol

  5. They could’ve done this forever ago, but I guess w the economy on life support post covid, there’s suddenly a push behind it.
