Don’t Expect Kevin Hart To Play “Gay” Anytime Ever

Screen Shot 2015-01-17 at 9.51.15 PMkevin hart wants to be taken as a serious comedic actor.
yup!
that’s right!
so he will play pretty much anything.
well wait…
except one thing.
he refuses to play gay.
this is what he told power105.1

When asked whether he’d play any other gay roles, Hart said no. “I can’t,” he said. “Not because I have any ill will or disrespect, but because I don’t think I’m really going to dive into that role 100 percent, because of insecurities about myself trying to pay that part. Does that make sense? What I think people are going to think while I do this is gonna stop me from playing that part the way that I’m supposed to.'”

Hart, 35, explained that he doesn’t have a problem with gay people, even if he won’t play one on screen. “To the gay community, I respect and appreciate everything you do,” he said. “As people, I love you.”

tumblr_mgowinf2wI1qlcs90o1_250i meaaaaaannnnnnnn…
it don’t bother this fox none.
it shouldn’t bother the foxhole either.
life will not stop if kevin hart doesn’t play a gay character.
personally speaking,
and this is being honest,
he should be more concerned he always plays “kevin hart”.
“the loud talkin’ black buffoon”.
Screen Shot 2015-01-17 at 9.59.19 PMhe should be more insecure as far as that’s concern.
i’m just saying…
he is headed to “typecast blvd” with the pedal to the fuckin metal.

  1. Well I guess that is his choice. I really don’t care because I’m not too much of a fan, but he is lil funny. I’ll give him that.

  2. Lool its true he does need to shake it up, but to be fair at least he’s honest 🙂

  3. That’s good to know its not like its a lot of roles being written for Black Gay Midgets anyhow, now if only he could play somebody funny since he is supposed to be a comedienne. As you can probably tell, I am not a fan, he is just not funny to me at all, I have never paid money to see any movie that he is in. Typical heterosexual thinking, thinking that you can not be a normal male who just happens to be gay. That’s why I love the gay character on Empire, he is not extra and stereotypical, a writer finally gets it right on TV. I would rather play a gay character Kevin Hart than the buffoon you play in every role. Kick Rocks!

  4. Nothing but respect for him, I like the way he worded it without throwing hate to the gay community as a lot of famous black men would have. I agree with you as funny as he is he’s going to have to change up something before it’s overkill with the same kind of character he plays. Not only him but Melissa McCarthy as well she stay doing the same kind of character.
