A man is claiming he had a 10-month-long affair with the Colorado dad accused of slaying his pregnant wife and their two toddler daughters.
The anonymous man from Loveland, Colorado, claimed Tuesday that he met Chris Watts, 33, on an app called “MeetMe” and that the pair began a sexual relationship when they saw each other in person for the first time in June 2017.
“It was clear that he was interested in me and attracted to me,” the man said on HLN’s “Crime & Justice” show. But Watts allegedly told him he was “not out and not ready to be out as far as his sexuality.”
“I had asked him if he’s sure he’s not bisexual because obviously, he had two children, but he told me he didn’t know, and at that moment he was attracted to me and me as a man.”
The man said Watts never told him he was married — but that he found out in late January or early February when they were driving around with Watts’ daughters Celeste, 3, and Bella 4.
“Bella made a comment and asked him if she could sleep with him and mommy tonight and that’s when I found out,” he said.
But Watts reportedly assured him that he and his wife, Shanann Watts, 34, weren’t happy at home, and were no longer sleeping together.
“He told me his wife was verbally and emotionally abusive, that he didn’t love her and that it was clear she didn’t love him.”
He added: “I knew something was wrong at home because obviously if nothing was wrong, he wouldn’t have pursued me.”
Eventually, the man said he broke it off when Watts kept telling him lies. He said he felt “ill” when he found out that Watts was arrested this month in the slayings of his wife and two daughters.
According to court documents, Watts had been having an affair with a co-worker. The anonymous man said that he imagined the co-worker could be either a man or a woman.
Friends of Shanann Watts also claimed she had told them she suspected her husband was having an affair.

As a openly gay man . Ive dated only straight men .! Meaning they deny it even then .lol. But I’ve noticed that often they beat there girlfriends and wives .! This is away of them assuring their masculinity .! But it also gives me the inner knowledge . That these types turn into killers ! Because society makes being gay a lower life form .! If people would quit putting gays down so much ? Then coming out of closets wouldn’t be so hard .! And church people , like cops and military are held to higher standards than the average citizens . They feel also entitled to do so . Being that they are better than your child . Yup a lot of married DL men out there are crazy. I speak from experience — I was married myself (www.dlconfessionssequel.com). Some go through enormous extremes to hide their sexuality and some are reckless as fuck. What this man did is no excuse — he killed three innocent people. He could have separated, divorced and lived his life and let his wife and children live theirs.
I said the same thing when I seen him. It was just something about him and this story.
After reading more details I’m inclined to believe this guy.Apparently he has text messages and he knew specific details about Chris’ truck and house that weren’t publicly known.I’m dumbfounded that Chris let this man around his kids and in his truck and house.It always amazes me how sloppy some cheaters are.What if his wife came home early and this “alleged lover” was at the house or if one of her friends saw Chris driving around in the truck with this strange guy and their daughters?
I have been following this story since the beginning. I really believe her murdered his family to free himself for responsibility and could live the life he wanted with whoever he was cheating with at work. Now the sexuality piece was a twist I did not expect. However, he went under a body transformation, which is a sign of cheating, and you know how much physique is the focus in this life we live. Either way, I hope his ass gets what he deserves.
Steer clear of married men!! Too much of a headache, I don’t care how fine or good the dick is, they want you to be committed to them, (most) but they’ll tell you that they love their wife in a heartbeat.
