Chick-Fil-A Comes To Town (and then Gets Shut Down)

People walk past a new Chick-fil-A restaurant, Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015 in New York. The Atlanta-based privately held franchise company has more than 1900 restaurants in 41 states and Washington, D.C. when chick-fil-a arrived in new yawk,
it was like jesus arrived and was turning water to wine.
when that chick-fil-a opened up,
i kid you not,
the line to get inside spanned two blocks.
they had a dj outside playing music and everything.
bad enough,
it said “30 minutes/45 minutes/an hour/hour and a half…
before you get your chicken”
as the line got deeper and deeper.
i’m gooooooooooooood.
jamari fox wasn’t that excited for some chicken.
well chick-fil-a violated in another way that they had to shut it down…

New York City’s first towering Chick-Fil-A has hit a stumbling block in its plans for dominationof the city’s fast food fried chicken landscape. A Christmas Eve inspection by the Department of Health uncovered a host of critical violations, resulting in 59 violation points, squarely in C territory. On December 30th, the restaurant closed its doors, indicating it would reopen for breakfast on January 4th.

The five critical violations included food held at improper temperatures and food not cooled by an approved method. Filth flies, food not protected from possible contamination and soiled wiping cloths were also cited. A previously ungraded inspection earlier in the month returned with 39 violation points, indicating things got worse—not better—between the two inspections.

The restaurant itself was not shuttered by the DOH so it appears that management of some kind felt a self-imposed reboot was necessary.

latestyeah.
jamari fox also doesn’t eat anywhere that doesn’t have an “a” rating.
new yawk can be way too sketchy taking risks with restaurants.
i had chick-fil-a when i was down in florida.
it was just okay.
i’ve had a better chicken sammich at a hood spot.
one with an “a” rating.
thank you.

  1. Why were gay people so shocked when Chickfila said they didn’t support gay marriage? The restaurant is closed on Sunday, come on now! Use your brain. Lol

  2. If you’re ever in the midwest, try Raising Canes. Their menu is limited—VERY limited, they only sell chicken fingers, not wings, breasts, drumsticks, etc.–but I swear it’s WAY better than Chik-Fil-A strictly on taste and quality (don’t know about their politics).

Never been to NY, so I thought “Kennedy Fried Chicken” was a typo at first. Thanks Google (lol). For a second, I had an image of JFK with an apron, chef hat and that accent, “Uh…would you like some, uh, fried chicken…with yer, uh, soder?” lol

  3. Look…chick-fil-a is amazing. Or at least in Virginia it is lol. Especially when compared to other fast food places.

  4. The only chicken place I like, well actually love, to eat at is Kennedy Fried Chicken cause they make some good fried chicken wings that goes excellent with french fries and a warm biscuit. Other than that I might go to Kentucky Fried Chicken, but only for the honey bbq wings and Popeyes for the fried shrimps, french fries and biscuits. However, my mom makes the most delicious chicken wings ever but that because she season the chicken with adobo, garlic/onion/chili powder, lemon pepper, oregano, paprika, parsley leaves black pepper, and the most important of them all sazon. Ay dios mio, every Puerto Rican household gotta have sazon cause that brings beautiful color and a wonderful taste. But it always best to let the chicken marinate in the gorgeous seasoning to have a huge impact of flavors.

  5. They hate gay people so i could do without that ole stale chicken anyways i hope everybody who eat there die of E.coli

  6. So let me get this straight I have been boycotting Chick Fil A for years to support my gay brothers and sisters and y’all asses are still eating there.😀
