Wendy Williams’ son with her estranged husband Kevin Hunter has been arrested early this morning after he punched his cheating father in the face, according to reports.
Kevin Hunter Jr allegedly slugged Hunter in the nose in order to free himself from a headlock Hunter had put him in at a parking lot near their family home in Livingston, New Jersey, just after 12 am on Wednesday morning, reported The Blast.
The 19-year-old was arrested for assault but Hunter said in a statement he would not be pressing charges. Kevin Jr was held for a short time before he was released from custody.
The fight allegedly kicked off over an argument about Hunter’s fight with Wendy for spousal support after she filed for divorce in April shortly after it was revealed Hunter’s mistress Sharina Hudson had given birth to a little girl.
Before the bust up, Hunter reportedly accused his son of being ‘brainwashed’ by the TV show host, 54, as police confirmed they were investigating the ‘incident’.
In a statement to TMZ, Hunter said: ‘I love my son very much and I will not be pursuing this matter legally. Things are not always how they appear.’
A source told the outlet the father and son have been at odds over Hunter repeatedly telling Kevin Jr he needed to stop relying on Wendy for handouts and create his own success.
