at least the child support is good, right?

the straights are an interesting bunch.
i always say most of them love to judge “us” over our folly,
but i stay looking at them crazy from my own glass house.
so i have a home vixen that i judged yesterday with her confession…

she hit me up to tell me she was pregnant.
now from what i know,
her dating past hasn’t been the most stable.
so i asked her if this new fetus was produced by that terror of a fuck boi ex of hers.
she claims it wasn’t.

It’s actually with a new terror of a fuck boi ex

she proclaimed to me that “she ready” for cubs,
even though she is unemployed,
still lives at home,
and plans on doing this alone.
so i made the mistake of asking why?

“Because I’ve been having baby fever and I want one.”

so she plans on bringing a cub in this world,
with all this dysfunction,
because baby fever has been creeping up on her?
she talking about a cub like it’s a “fashionova” dress.
i was hoping she’d take a tylenol and sweat out that baby fever,
but maybe she feels “she ready“.
after i got off the phone with a stiff neck,
after shaking my head so damn hard,
i had to wonder

Why are folks so hard pressed on bringing life into this world,
even though they’re own life isn’t together?

like,
it baffles me.
recently i’ve had “the baby feva”,
but i took a tylenol and laid up under two blankets.
my life is a mess right now!
i wouldn’t think of bringing a cub into it.

AND I LIKE MALES!

i can only imagine how i’d be if i was straight.

lowkey: i think single fathers who take care of their cubs,
provide,
and acknowledge always need to have their brains fucked out on the regular.

what?
it’s truth.
nothing is sexier than a wolf who stands up to his responsibility.

  1. I have so many female friends like this who have at least more than one kid, it’s a constant struggle for most of them. I never understand it. This is no disrespect to women and men who have kids but I think some of them treat it like a marriage proposal, only thinking about the thrills of RIGHT now and not about how much work goes into a marriage after the reception, after the honeymoon, the dress shopping, and etc.

It is a rarity to see fathers stepping up an taking care of their kids so it is nice to see the ones that do, but if we’re rewarding fathers for doing something they are supposed to be doing anyways I say we do the same for the mothers who are as well.

  2. I do get baby fever occasionally then I’ll watch my cousins and be reminded that i absolutely do not want them til im financially, emotionally and mentally ready for all that. Plus i don’t want to be single when I have them/one.

    1. ^cubs are A LOT of work.
      it’s food,
      clothing,
      schooling,
      patience,
      sacrifice,
      and most importantly time.
      it’s not some ig picture.

    2. I was like you. I wanted a kid, but it wasn’t in the cards for me and I’m fine with it. Now if people ask me why I don’t have kids, I tell them matter-of-factly, so that they TRULY understand…I don’t want any.

I look at my friends and relatives that do have them and while some of them seem legit happy, many seem to suffer from baby mama/baby daddy issues. I’m not with that. I’m good.

I get the urge, I babysit my nieces or nephews…and I’m good. Those are my kids. LOL

  3. Fatherhood is definitely sexy!! I agree and Yass he needs to be sucked and fucked amazingly well lol. Women are an emotional mess, she’s probably longing for unconditional love that a baby gives. Baby fever is usually preceded by some type of brokenness or insecurity that they are trying to fill without actually fixing it. Poor baby and good luck to her. I’ve never had baby fever… either it’ll happen or it won’t. I rather have a loving man than anything else.
