ain’t no fun when mo’nique has got the gun (and it’s pointed at oprah)

i never thought i’d see or hear oprah getting “told about herself”.
hell,
by mo’nique of all folks.
i won’t lie,
but that mj documentary really put a dent in her character for me.
for others,
i was surprised it was before that.
so many folks i have spoken to have said they never fucked with oprah too tough.
well you know mo’nique is all about “telling folks about themselves”,
especially ones who did her wrong.
oprah is one of those wrong doers in her story.
she decided to address oprah on her ig and well…

Dear @oprah, I felt compelled to write you this open letter after observing the disparity in the way that you seem to treat people, who were accused of the same allegations. You did an interview on the CBS Morning Show and were asked about Harvey Weinstein by Norah O’Donnell, and you said as it pertained to him that you “always try to look at the Rainbow in the clouds, whatever is the “silver lining”. You also said “if we make this all about Harvey Weinstein then we have lost the moment”. When you either are, or were going to be a part of documentary on Michael Jackson, and Russell Simmons, how is that not making it all about them? Interestingly, Brother M.J. was acquitted, and deceased, so how is he not off limits? Russell and Harvey are accused of the same thing so in fairness how do you not “support” the accusers of both as you said you did with R.S. or you look for the silver lining for both like you said you did for H.W.? The only difference between the two is there skin color and doesn’t H.W. have way more accusers? My personal experience with you is you’ve watched me as a black women be accused of being difficult for not promoting “Precious” internationally for Lions Gate, at Lions Gate, Tyler Perry and your request, despite the fact my deal was with Lee Daniels Entertainment. And, how are you for black women when you hear Tyler on audio saying I was right and he was going to speak up but you or him still haven’t said a word? When I was sixteen and I meet you at your local show in Baltimore, I told you I wanted to be just like you when I grew up. You responded, “ you have to work really really hard”. My sixteen year old self didn’t know that you in your silence in the face of wrongdoing, would make my life “harder”. Lastly, please consider standing by the people who are right and not just the “right people”. Love you to life, Mo’Nique

Mo’Nique

i mean….
she is right.
i don’t understand this “pardon” oprah has been giving harvey weinstein.
she green-lit a documentary about mj,
and passed about the one ( x dealing with russell simmons ),
but i don’t see this same energy for harvey.
you know i rocks heavy with oprah,
but this just ain’t it.
i think oprah needs to sit these docs and tell-alls out.
it’s really doing nothing for her character.
when you have someone like mo who has nothing to lose,
and has a lot to say/font about her alleged character,
she is gonna keep coming and coming.
oprah better bring her on “super soul sunday” in that forest for a make up session.

  1. Mo’Nique please shut the whole fuck up! Only your small group of supporters are sharing and retweeting your nonsense. Worry about getting a job and restoring your respectability. Oh, and remember when you were actually a comedian and made people laugh? I want THAT Mo’Nique back. Until then, you are nothing more than a barking Chihuahua.

  2. Us middle class folks can’t be too concerned with these upper, class people and their issues. We all know they are a part of a cult within Hollywood, and if needed, can make you disappear, either through accusation cancellation or a mysterious demise.

Gotta keep the funds coming in.

  3. This is why it is DANGEROUS to support someone JUST because they share a racial background!!! Yes we WANT to support her because seeing a black female billionaire changes the way we see our possibilities, but we have to acknowledge that maybe the way this woman has made the bulk of her fortune just is NOT moral! This woman usually exploits people’s stories to make her shows more interesting, she panders to stories that she knows will hit heavy with black audiences, that’s why she was so hell bent on doing that MJ doc, MONEY & RATINGS! She don’t give a damn about those now grown accusers, and she cnt give ANY more detail to the case then one can find on hours worth of YouTube vids! But she knows people would see her name attached and just assume she had the scoop and therefore watch

  4. Well I it’s no real secret that Oprah is like Janet Jackson’s character in “For Colored Girls”. I also believe that she has some kinda of “Iron Clad” contract with H.W. which in all honesty prevents her for going after him. I mean “Oprah” is in Elite class and you get there by holding some people’s secrets (along with her own). It’s no benefit for the circles she is apart of to drag H.W. or Kevin Spacey who never seems to be part of the dragging that he should be. That to me is like she would be treated as if “she can’t be trusted” at least in their eyes. In all honesty Oprah just probably did not like Mo’nique for whatever reason. We seem to forget that she did that show with her Child molesting brother, her mother & father. I understand Oprah is on a level where the show must go on, but she should not have done it and that is the biggest stain on her character concerning her and Mo’nique’s acquaintanceship. Sis ain’t right she just standing next to powerful people so she believes that makes her right!!

  5. Yes. I have lost respect for Oprah too. While I think Monique is way too dramatic, herself, and has burned many bridges, I totally agree with her here.
