5 years ago, you didn’t think you’d catch HIV

If you could have hopped in a time machine 5 years ago,
if you could see your life now,
would you expect it to be this way?

that’s an interesting question i was posed recently.
so there is a vlogger that’s known for “reading” people.
not even people that have done him wrong.
he just attacked others at random.
i happened to be one of those people.
i wanna say it was about 5 years ago.
he came into my twitter mentions and allegedly fonted:

“your shit is trash”

something wild disrespectful.
i could’ve responded back with ignorance,
but i knew when someone is known for “reading”,
it’ll be endless back and forth that won’t have an end.
i saw all the folks he had beef with and i didn’t care to be involved.
i left it alone because i felt it wasn’t worth it.
well the other day,
his vlog randomly popped up on my youtube recommendations.
he had an announcement he wanted to share with his fan base…

He found out that he contracted HIV

i watched it and i felt pity for him.
i know that’s not where he thought his journey would have gone.
this isn’t going to be easy an easy road.
contracting hiv is not “take pills every day and it’s gonna be good”.
mentally,
that shit is no joke and i wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.
i hope he has the right people because he’s gonna need their strength.
in this life,
it can lead to a lot of loneliness and isolation.
the good news is he can share his progress and be an inspiration to others.

it’s crazy just how life is tho.
i think that should be the exciting and interesting part.
you just never know what’s going to happen,
but i like to think it all brings lessons within this process.
i’m definitely not where i thought i’d be 5 years ago,
but i’m a much better and wiser fox because of all i been through.

jobs
losing star fox
work wolf
other clowns i liked

“friends” who came and went
understanding my depression

i’ve lost a lot,
accomplished much more,
learned to peep red flags,
and found the power in “no”.
i wasn’t equipped to handle greatness.
i feel i’m ready now.
so i had to ask the foxhole…

Are you where you’d thought you’d be 5 years ago?

  1. I was waiting for you to post about this! Ironically I found about Justin J videos through this site. I remember watching his videos and thinking he was really funny. Until his videos got really mean spirited and turned me off completley. I also remember the one video he did threatening some woman and the look in his eyes was just crazy. Thats when I knew it was time to unsubscribe.

I watched his HIV status video and i felt bad for him but at the same time people were saying how he said he preferred unprotected sex. He also said he was on PREP. He lives in the ATL as well. I was like dang ol boy living fearless for real. My heart goes out to him and anyone else living with the condition.

Did anyone else pick up on his energy during the video tho? He seemed shockingly nonchalant about the whole thing. Very blase’ blah and that alarmed me.

  2. We talkin about Justin? If so, yeah he use to do wat too much bck in then, but he seems like he’s grown since then, he even admitted he was too much

    1. Wow really, dude came for you? Well Jamari, I prefer your content instead of that fool. I was shock he became a statistic to the epidemic. I guess when he through a rock it ricochet but although he has a different perspective of life. I guess we should wish him the best.
