can i tell you how much i love “grown-ish”?
i am a high key stan of this show.
at first i thought they were moving too fast,
but it’s simply taking the “blackish” approach.
every episode explores the fact or fiction about a life topic.
they all involve the trials and tribulations of being black.
“grown-ish” tackled a very important topic this week.
so i have three thoughts about this week’s episode,
“it’s hard out here for a pimp”...
1.
they called out how hard it is to date as a black vixen.
they dragged the industry,
black males,
and messy society stereotypes with absolutely no fucks to give.
i was shook at how they didn’t hold back,
but they spoke the absolute truth.
i wish zoe would have gotten involved in the discussion tho.
2.
i love luca‘s carefree way of living.
while zoe was hung up on getting things done in order,
luca was so relaxed about it.
his inspiration came to him by not stressing.
i find i’m like “zoe”,
where i want/need things in order and control.
i get depressed when i don’t know what’s happening in my life.
a lot of my successful friends are like “luca”.
they get where they need to be by not trying so hard to get there.
his character made me see a few things.
life is not a race and that inspiration comes from living freely.

i had to check his age to make sure he was legal.

Diggy been bae for a while now. And I’m glad he seems like a good guy. He reminds me of Puffy’s kids. They’re NEVER acting out being stupid or showing out publicly. They all been raised accordingly.
I need to catch up on the show but this episode I did see. While I loved the conversation I would have loved it even more if they dug a little deeper and talked about how zoey is most black men’s dream as for as looks with her being light skin and having curly hair. The same with the twins while they aren’t getting play at their mostly white school they said back home brothers would check them out all the time. Would loved to have see a darker skin girl rebuttal their views and speak about the Privilege they have being of a a lighter skin tone.

This past episode is excellent. Hell every episode has been good. I’m happy we’re past the cash storyline but yes the show is excellent. And diggy has been fine! He’s been fine for years now.
