i remember coming home from school and immediately puttin on mtv trl.
thats where i first met the original pop tarts,
watched the commotion going on in times square,
and be introduced to new acts and their music.
mtv trl was pretty live back in the day.
right after,
i would turn on 106 and park and get my “us” fix.
i still think free and aj was the best thing to happen to that show.
well they’re trying to bring mtv’s trl back.
106 hasn’t even been dead but a few days.
one of my f-bi just alerted me of the alleged comeback…

well i was just talking about this during the final episode of 106.
we had this long discussion about this on twitter.
i was wondering how artists would promote their music now 106 is gone?
who knew they were in the works of resuscitating trl?

i guess its a good thing tho.
the new pop tarts need a place to be seen.
i’m sure blacks artists looking to cross over will also be happy as well.
even tho i’m past the “trl/106” countdown phase,
its good to see the stans will reek havoc times square once again.

Hated TRL when it was first on the air. I used to work part time in a music store during that era (Britney/Backstreet Boys/NSync/Christina Aguilera) and it was hell trying to keep their music in stock! LOL

Why did they treat it like shit when it was still on air? It changed from 4:00 to 3:00 & only showed 10 to 15 seconds of a video. I think they were purposely trying to get rid of it to make way for more reality shows.
I still remember the good ol days of 106. I never warmed up to Terrence & Rocsi. In fact, I hated them. They tried way too hard. Especially Terrence. His personality seemed forced.
Jamari you’ve never attended either show? I imagine you would at least once. You should go to Connecticut and attend a taping of Maury to make up for it.

Mariah’s vocals on that entrance tho! I actually love crazy mariah #mygirl. 106 died when Terrence and Rocsi left. I LOVE Free and AJ! But Terrence and Rocsi held it down. They are tied with AJ and Free IMO!
Nah, 106 died when they stopped playing real music. I haven’t watched for the past 5 years.
