You Can Be “Woke” and Sleep At The Same Time?

i’m not that fox.
the one who will start a march and protest for hours.
that takes dedication.
i am the fox who will use his platform to write about injustice.
since i have a strong reach,
i pass the message along and support those who do.
that is my truth.
i am honest enough admit that truth.
i won’t pretend to be something i’m not.
i won’t gas you up to be let down if i don’t follow through.
that being said,
i feel like black vixens are better at this…

jesse williams said in his infamous bet awards speech:

“we have to protect our black queens…”

…yet he chose to date a snow bunny.
in my opinion,
if you are represent “black pride” then you need to live in color.
true hd color.
like,
what are ya’ll talmbout in that interracial relations?
some shit does down in the news,
will they agree with you?
or will they think you’re over-reacting?
no.
it’s all about sex and submission with the snow bunnies.
so once he made that speech at the bet awards,
he was open to someone ruining him.
more than likely it was the hunters aka powers that b.
the ones who wait silently in the background until you fuck up.
they set traps that make it easy for black wolves to fall in.
so if jesse knew this

WHY NOT EXECUTE HIS PLAN FLAWLESSLY?

he made so many contradictions that he ruined his image.
like,
responding to all the comments like he was innocent.
his 4:44 tirade<<<<<
smh.
i hear so many excuses about him being:

“biracial”
“well his mom is white”

the fuck?
so then he should said…

“we have to protect our biracial queens…”

…and don’t open himself up in the hunting grounds.
he gave them that “l”.
the snow bunny didn’t ruin her image.
i’m sure after he starts to fall off,
she will bounce her ass to someone else.
the foundation of those two doesn’t seem that strong.

with that being said,
i feel like black vixens do “woke” better.
a majority.
they will protest and have some black wolf in the background.
she could also choose be single and dedicate her life to her work.
they can be more loyal than some black males.

Am I wrong about this?

all i’m saying is if you gonna chose the role of “woke”,
then don’t be a doofus about it.
either you’re all in or you’re on the sidelines.
it’s like being an animal lover,
becoming a vegetarian,
but having a closet full of fur coats and leather jackets.
that shit just don’t work.
like i said before:

I don’t take anyone “woke” serious if they are dating interracially

can’t do it.
so i’m suppose to take you serious because you’re “out there”…

…But you’re going home to sleep with your SUPPOSED ENEMY?

does that make any sense to anyone???
this goes for “woke” gays creeping and playing in the snow too.

i have to share this comment from a foxholer in emails:

“It’s all rooted in misogyny. That same tired “protect the black man no matter how trifling he is” just to save face with white people.

It’s the same thing that has ppl protecting Bill Cosby and had us protecting OJ when neither really give a fuck about us
I think it’s a flaw within men. Especially black men.
At our core, a lot of us just want the privileges of white men, not what’s best for our people as a whole. That’s why black women are so disposable to us.
What do drug dealers, crooked Preachers, and “activists” like Deray have in common?
They’ll all sell their people down the river for greed and power.
I’m sorry but I’m at a point where showing up to protest in the heat doesn’t interest me.
Why aren’t we harnessing voting power and electing people that represent us on a local level?
Why aren’t we improving or pushing to have the schools in our neighborhood?
Why aren’t we looking out for each other in the workplace so that when I move up, you can be my successor?”
hmm.

    1. The person who posted that term is well aware of that.He is not ignorant. He often uses terms that when discussing biracial people who identify as black including President Obama.I have it found it is best to bypass his comments when the topic is about a biracial person whether it’s Jesse,Zendaya, etc…

    2. It is not clear that the term “mulatto” is a racial slur. I did look it up here: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=mulatto , here: https://www.google.com/search?q=define+mulatto&oq=define&aqs=chrome.3.69i57j69i59j35i39j0l3.16890j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 , here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mulatto and here: http://parlourmagazine.com/2010/09/mulatto-racial-slur-or-socially-exceptable/ . What is very clear is that the “one-drop” theory is racist. I oppose racism in all its forms and permutations and I invite you to do so as well.

Due to your comment and the writings noted above, I have and will consider my use of that term.

Y Colette indicated that she “found it best to bypass” my comments on certain topics. I read opinions that differ from mine–the more to learn from. I remind you that:

“Pathology and dysfunction are not influenced by facts, evidence or logic. Pathology and dysfunction are influenced by pathology and dysfunction. And pathology and dysfunction produce more pathology and dysfunction.”

“Pathology and dysfunction prefer myth, ignorance, assumption or wishful thinking. And usually, pathology and dysfunction insist on pathology, dysfunction, myth, ignorance, assumption or wishful thinking.”

Knowledge–including facts, evidence and logic–is to be sought–not avoided and not ignored. Myth, ignorance, assumption and wishful thinking are to be discerned and avoided.

  1. A deep conversation that needs to be had. I believe interracial dating has a small part in all of this. Love is love at the of the day. This boils down to the way we are treated and looked down upon by those in power, and these same people abuse it to keep black people and other POC of oppressed. As much as people do not like white people, all of them are not the same. Many do support us, but the spotlight needs to be directed towards the ones causing the the harm.

  2. It’s not even about color. It’s about one thing and one thing only…sex. People will suck a dick or fuck an ass/pussy to get whatever they want/need. And for money…they’ll sell their souls to the devil.
Activists, entertainers, athletes, politicians…they’re all in the same boat. Black, white, yellow, brown…it doesn’t matter.

  3. Love is love is love. That is a person of one ethnic/racial group can come to love a person of another ethic/racial group and that’s fine. On the other hand, we know that there is a tremendous amount of self-hating racism among African Americans whereby they hate black/African features-dark skin, broad noses, full lips and strong/nappy/tightly coiled hair. And because of that self-hating anti-black racism, they see is superior/preferred white/European features–pale skin, pointy noses, thin lips and stringy hair. For example, I don’t know whether or not Shaun T’s affection of his husband is influenced by this self-hating racism but I do reject racism in all its form and all its permutations. ( I do suspect that his affection of his husband is influenced by that racism because in the USA, we swim in racism/racist media all day, every day.) So, I cannot agree with your attitude “as long as they’re happy, good for them”. I say “As long as they are happy and not influenced by racism, good for them.” I reject racism in all its forms and permutations–even if it is disguised as “just love”. And I invite you to reject racism in all its forms and permutations.

  4. It should be clear that Jesse Williams is NOT black. He’s mixed, mulatto or biracial. How do I know? His mother is white.:

What it means to be black
To accept the racist “one drop” theory is racist and accepts a central tenet white supremacy, which is blackness as a taint. “Black” is not a philosophy, a club or a way of life. “Black” is a race. “African American” is an ethnic group within the black race as is Haitian, Nigerian or Kenyan. Just as Irish or Irish American is an ethnic group within the white race as is Italian, French or German.

Nor is being black defined by skin color. The black race has the highest rate of albinos of any race. And yes, such albinos are fully black. On the other hand, this so called “one-drop” theory that says that if you are part black, then you are black is a bunch of bull. First, it was invented by the racist white slave-owner for the benefit of the racist white slave owner and not the slave. And I will not have my views dictated by dead racist white slave-owners. Second, it’s racist. It’s based on the theory that black blood is a taint so much so that it taints and spoils all the other blood that is there. And that as a taint, all must be thrown in the garbage that is the black. We’re not going to co-sign on a racist theory that sees us and our ancestors as the functional equivalent of garbage. (We are not garbage and neither are our ancestors!) If you co-sign on the racist one-drop theory, then you are co-signing on racism. Third, it has no basis in reality. It says foolishly “To get more oil, just add water.” (With the black heritage being the “oil” and the anything else being the “water”) That’s foolish. At some point, if you add water to oil, it becomes watery oil and later it becomes oily water. And if you add enough water to the oil, it becomes virtually indistinguishable from plain water and will be fit to drink. At some point if you add water to oil, it becomes unable to lubricate and stops functioning as oil.

Therefore, Pan-Africanist American-African writer, historian and professor John Henrik Clark wisely said “You cannot make a good African between the legs of a European woman.” Dr. Claud Anderson came to the same conclusion saying, “If I pour water into gasoline I didn’t make it any stronger, I made it weaker.” You cannot make more “oil” by simply adding “water”. To think that you can is foolish—and racist.

(Racism is the belief that one race is inferior or superior to another race. The “one-drop” theory with blacks as a taint, as garbage clearly fits into that racist scheme.)

Now, there are people who are sufficiently diluted of their black DNA that they are not black. No race of people is “pure” so having some other-than-black ancestry does not make you not black. Just like having some other-than-white ancestry does not make you not white. Certainly if your non-black DNA is equal to or equivalent to your black DNA, then you are not black. Furthermore, one’s race or ethnicity is not like a club. You either are or are not “born that way”. You can’t join it like a club. They are people—just not black people. They are humans—just not black humans. Such people include former President Obama, Mariah Carey, David McIntosh, Boris Kodjoe, Shemar Moore, Halle Berry, Tiger Woods, Benjamin Jealous (former head of the NAACP who is 90% white by DNA), Melisa Harris-Perry, Jesse Williams, etc. (Halle Berry foolishly said that since she was black, her daughter is also black. Well, the fact is that Halle Berry is half-black so is biracial and that her daughter is born of a white man so is ¾ white! Such foolishness!) (And Tiger Woods is ¼ black and ½ Chinese! Yet some want to call him black! Correction: He’s mixed race!) Such people are mixed, mulatto or biracial. We oppose racism in all its forms and permutations (including the racist canard called the “one-drop” theory) and we ask you to oppose racism in all its forms and permutations too. When you know better, you do better.

  5. A couple of months ago a young lady won a beauty pageant Miss Black University of Texas a pageant sponsored by the Kappas. She got a lot of backlash because many people said she wasn’t black enough. She is mixed and identifies as black including being a member of black organizations but many people criticized her being chosen because she is mixed and is extremely light skinned. But the funny thing is few of the girls were biracial/mixed but she was lighter than the other girls including the mixed ones. Her name is Rachael Malonson.
So yeah light skinned women have to deal with that but things are worse for dark skinned women. There are two documentaries that deal with colorism “Dark Girls” and “Light Girls” OWN tv network aired them last year.

    1. Rachel Malonson is not bladk. She’s mixed, mulatto or biracial. And if I remember correctly, her mother is white and her father is only partly black. So she’s not a “light-skinned” black person. She’s a non-black person and it’s racist to say that she’s black and she’s engaging in fraud and racism by “identifying as bladk”. Maybe I can identify as a bird and try to fly. Such foolishness and racism.

  6. I’m trying to think of any color struck women I’ve ever met and only one comes to mind from college and she’s with a heavy dark skinned dude now🤷🏾‍♂️

My experience is women that prefer certain skin tones are in the minority. Black Women want to know if you have a job, kids, and if you even date black women!

My experience as a dark skinned black man is that men are way more into the skin tone thing.

That’s one thing heterosexual and homosexual black men have in common.

    1. This^^^ Colorism is much more prevalent in black men I wonder if it has to do with us being more visual….

      1. Does colorist ever work in reverse. I know there is such thing as being “too dark” but is there “too light”? I am on the light skinned, and I have had people laugh at me (usually dark skin people) when I say I am black because I am not dark enough? An African women at my gym said where she is from people wouldn’t consider black.

    2. I guess Im the only person who has seen light skinned babies passed from adoring hand to adoring hand in a CHURCH while a darker child is ignored. This makes me very hopeful to see that except for in my narrow life, colorism is no longer an issue in Black America and that Black woman are not entirely immune from this old disease.

      1. Unfortunately, it seems in our community we have such rigid rules for what a black person “should be” not too dark, but not too light, educated and well spoken, but not too much (less you be accused of acting white), etc
Why is it so hard to accept and welcome each other.

      2. There are lots of black women who prefer light skinned guys and/or mixed guys so they can have light skinned babies with good hair. But there are also lots of black women who prefer dark skinned guys.I think the difference is I haven’t met many men who prefer dark skinned women. In my life I haven’t met many guys who say the darker the better,I want me a Lupita. They’ll still say stuff to them like ,You are pretty for a dark skinned girl. That’s the difference I see.Light skinned and obviously non black women continue to be viewed as the standard of beauty.Whereas with guys you can be Boris Kodjoe or Idris and everything in between.Black women’s standard of black male attractiveness is more broad, more diverse from my experience. But there is definitely a segment that likes them light skinned. and I agree light skinned and brown skinned babies continue to be fawned over more than dark skinned babies and kids.I just witnessed that at my family reunion.

  7. Oh Dear, this is such a complex subject. I remember several years ago Jill Scott said something about black people need to stick to black people, and she was called racist and all other names for her statement. The point she was making is that black people have a unique and distinct culture, and there is a fear of losing who we are when we mix with others. That sentiment makes perfect sense, but it’s hard to mesh that sentiment with the “enlightened” concept of loving whom ever you choose to love. It’s so complex and I don’t know if there is a right or wrong answer. I married a snow wolf, and I have no regrets, but there is a cultural divide between us.
Ps. I totally agree, don’t get on your soap box condemning those for acting a certain way and then turn around and do the exact same thing. Jesse deserves the dragging he is getting because he put himself up as the model of “wokeness” and then failed to live up to his own standards. If you can’t walk the talk, then it’s best you stay silent.

    1. Jesse was pandering for a new, broader melanated audience. Playing up the things we know and love to hear about ourselves, but no real action or community work to go with it. Do you think he would’ve said that same speech at the Primetime Emmy’s or on the MTV Awards?

  8. I get it, now Jay, we live on different planets. On my planet, Jesse’s prominence is directly related to his light skin and “pretty” eyes. We even had a natural experiment to prove that as many of these same Black vixens ( and plenty of others) lost their minds over a MUG SHOT of a biracial dude with light eyes too. In my experience, dark skin doesn’t reliably confer virtue. But light skin does reliably confer all sorts of privilege.

    1. That’s internet hype.

In the real world, these women are not requiring men to be light skinned with perfect bodies like gay men do.

They love Idris and Kofi just as much.

I’ve been going to weddings left right and men get chose by gorgeous women regardless of if they a fat, dark skinned, or shorter.

Women fall in love with what they hear and what Jessie said is exactly what they wanted to hear, especially with his black wife sitting in the audience as proof he wasn’t just pandering.

Certainly you don’t think MLK and those other big names are the ONLY reasons we have the rights we do today?

Plenty of others contributed and it took the community participating to make the bus boycott happen. We the people did the work back then!

Even MLK and Malcolm X knew their credibility didn’t stand a chance without their black wives by their side and so their wives knew the same.

      1. As I say, Jay. We live on different planets. I prefer yours and hope someday to visit. Meanwhile, on my planet, light skinned men have a distinct advantage over darker skinned men. In fact, Jesse wasn’t the first to make the statements that made him the standard bearer for Hollywood “wholeness”. He was just the first to do so with blue eyes. Tyler Perry’s villains are all dark and heroes are all light. And, his fortune is built on church ladies, nearly all of them Back, flocking first to his plays and then to his movies. Moreover, cheating on the Blackwoman at your side while your sneak with white women doesn’t feel more noble to me. Im inclined to think that movements require both leaders and followers. And, that those leaders need not pass a test about to whom they are attracted in order to be effective.

    2. DAAAAAAAAAAAMN! Now that’s the truth and a clapback read! It’s sad that light skin vs dark skin reign supreme in the black community and it’s mega funny that light skinned/biracial black wolves love to shout “black power” and get all kinds of vixens flocking to them because they look pretty but when a dark skinned congo black wolf does the same, he’s a “thug” “hotep” etc? I’m confused! Aren’t they doing the same? Basically, light skinned black men and dark skinned black men have been competing to see who gets the most tail and it won’t stop. Once again, I might be wrong with my observation, but, it’s my opinion on this situation.
      #thisthingisdeeperthanskincolor #racewarsin2017belike

  9. “Woke” is the new “T.H.O.T” It’s just an excuse to get attention from individuals that would not pay you any attention in real life. So by saying you’re “woke,” you’re basically saying that you want nothing more than just sex with someone because in reality, who wants to date and fuck your lame duck ass?

Its funny that the main target of these individuals are basically black women who have rejected them in real life and it’s funny that Jesse Williams was with a black woman during the times when he was a “struggling actor” (unemployed actor working regular jobs), she was supporting him and backing him up. The gag is, Jesse was basically a hotep sleeper agent and just like the Kanye West song, “gold digger,” he said, “…..and when he get on, he leave your ass for a white girl!” Like c’mon son, you saw that one coming!

I feel that Jesse Williams, Dr. Umar Johnson, Tariq Nasheed, etc. within the pro black, black conscious, hotep, black supremacy, black panther party, black nationalist, and pan africanism communities are just a bunch of horny ass black men who couldn’t get any play from any BLACK WOMAN because they find them to be players, womanizers, cornballs, lames, losers, wimps, punks, and pussies.

So if my comment didn’t make any sense, then I’m sorry, but I was just making a basic observation of what’s really going on. #nothing is true #everything is permitted

    1. ^thats that im referring too.

date and fuck who you want,
but jesse was legit pandering to black vixens with his speech.
he built his sudden fan base off the backs of black vixens.

      1. So no irony at all in Black vixens being upset that the light skinned biracial boy with blue eyes has a taste for European features?

      2. Which is why I’m giving major side eye to Jesse Williams. I don’t find him to be favorable amongst black women so if they support him, kudos to those blind, deaf, and dumb black women because they could’ve been “woke” to his lies. SMH

      3. Jessie could’ve been dark as tar with Mandingo features and black women still would’ve fawned over him because it’s so seldom black men center black women publically like that. Sad, but true.

Women aren’t as visual as men are. They fall in love with what they hear!

  10. I can appreciate someone being woke and being down for the cause but when said person does have a white partner or S/O it will always make me look sideways. Like others have said there is a long list of activists over time that have done so. I won’t knock their accomplishments but it does beg the question why does this tend to be the trend? I think I boils down to some secretly wanting a piece of white privilege whilst trying to dismantle it.

    1. YES!!!!! Yes, yes, to everything you said Hugo. White women have always been a symbol of status and power to the black man. It sends the signal of him being equal to the white man. White men know it, and that’s why they hate black men for it. Going back to the original spirit of Jamari’s post is that I do agree the majority of black men aren’t wanting racial equality for both black men and women, just only for black men. That is a misognistic male point of view. Black women tend to want what is best for everyone within the black community.

You all can name any civil rights activist you want. It doesn’t matter and NONE of them is above critisism. You marry someone white during your time helping the black struggle? That is a conflict of interest. Plain and simple. We don’t denounce your acheivements or strides that have been made, but we question your character and sincerity. In fact, I go so far to say that all of the present leaders of the black community should be called into question. The white community doesn’t have a sole or multiple leaders and their plan of white global hegemony is working fine. That tells us that if we, as a group were organized and in formation, we wouldn’t need a leader.

We are the only racial group that will defend black/white dating and try to shame those among us that don’t go for it, meanwhile other groups (Jews, Asian, Indian, Muslim, Italian, Latino) will stress to thier children to find someone of thier own culture to marry. If someone can’t identify with your culture or the specific struggles that are native to your culture, don’t marry them.

  11. Jesse and Deray both hold no credibility. Everything that they’ve “stood for” was for likes and the riding of a wave that will eventually drown them and the message they rode in on. You can’t acknowledge all that works against black people/women and then go back and date a white chick.

Date who you want, but if you’re not all the way down for the movement/liberation leave us alone. It’s so funny hearing how these ppl who date white folks want to fight so much to change the narrative to be w/ their white partner when they don’t even put half of that energy into bettering the condition of black people like them.

    1. But wasn’t that change made already? For interracial relationships to be recognized and accepted? I mean, did I miss something or did they miss something or what?

  12. So Frederick Douglas,Harry Belafonte,Henry Louis Gates,Gordon Parks,James Brown,Dave Chappelle(his wife is Filipino),etc aren’t or weren’t “woke” because they are/were in an interracial relationships? It is rumored MLK had a relationship with a German(white) exchange student. If it that’s true would you say he wasn’t woke for sleeping with the enemy?
I judge people by what they DO in terms of activism not who they Love.BTW Alice Walker,Marian Wright Edelman and Maya Angelou were “woke” with white husbands.Audre Lorde had a white female partner. All were also civil rights activists, all were “woke”.

    1. “America’s greatest crime against the black man was not slavery or lynching, but that he was taught to wear a mask of self-hate and self-doubt.”—Malcolm X

You can’t be “woke” if you are filled with self-hate. You can’t be “woke” if you chose not to re-produce to make another black person but you chose to re-produce and make a non-black person. There’s suicide. There’s genocide. There’s ethnic cleansing. And then there’s ethic suicide. Such is ethnic suicide. And mixed, mulatto and biracial people are not black people.

  13. So let me get this right. It would have been better for him never to have used his public platform to support Black causes if there was any chance he’d fall in love with a white woman? The hundreds of Black men in the lime light who never utter a word in opposition to the extrajudicial murder of Black citizens but who are known to fuck Black women get a pass? Jesse is clearly not someone who is attracted only to white women. And, I don’t know anything about the white woman he has chosen or about him either to make a judgment on his current choice. If all our heroes need to be perfect, perhaps we should stick to the dead ones. And, even then, we should take care not to read much history. MLK isn’t woke because of his white side piece? Does Malcolm X get torn down from the pantheon because he fucked white women too? There is lots of reason to believe that Michelle was Barack’s first Black queen, after a long line of snow bunnies. We reject him too? Maya Angelou married at least 3 white men. James Baldwin’s gay novel wasn’t called Leroy’s Room but Giovani’s Room. Frederick Douglass married a white woman. Nearly all the dicks Bayard Rustin was sucking as he was organizing the March on Washington were white. I see zero connection between using what you have to make life better for your people and fucking whoever makes you happy. There aren’t enough leaders using their platforms for good nor is there enough love in the world for me to be able to reject a public ally for loving whom he loves.

    1. WOW I didn’t see your comment until after I typed mine.I forgot to mention Bayard and James Baldwin.

      1. Not offensive at all. im just completely unwilling to give up my voting rights, my right to public accommodation and my conception of who I am as an African American because some of the people who bequeathed those things to me liked to play in the snow. Similarly, if it took every prominent African on Earth to fuck “Becky with the good hair” to reduce the numbers of unarmed Blackpeople murdered by police by even 20%, I would be passing out condoms and lube in front of white sorority houses. I do admit to being disappointed that so many men who love men are down with the concept of judging people based on who they love. We broke out of prison to put chains on other people?

    2. I don’t worship those people you mentioned like everyone else does for those exact reasons 🤷🏾‍♂️

I prefer to learn about the ones that didn’t get the accolades and the honor of being a footnote in textbooks.

      1. I don’t worship them either. But, Im REALLY enjoying the life they made possible, which my grandparents assure me is a damned sight better than what was possible before. And, those people prove beyond doubt that there is no connection between effectiveness and ideological purity. Give me snow bunny fuckers who make lives better over ideologically correct people who love only fuck people others approve of any day!

  14. I honestly feel like he did set himself up for that especially w/ the mentioning of black women in his speech. It was going to turn out that some scandal w/ a white woman would/did/could happen because you can be pro-black but we aren’t living in a society that isn’t going to find a way to break you down.

This is going to definitely negatively affect his message especially coming from the idea that “we are going to try and do right by black women” and going to leave a black woman for a white woman which is the total opposite of his message.

  15. My thing is, date and fuck who you want, just don’t prop yourself up to be woke because it can be seen as hypocritical by both black and white people.

Yeah I know black pride doesn’t mean hating white people, but in my opinion you and your nonblack partner can be allies from the sidelines. Your time is better spent educating your nonblack partner and your kids because most of these interracial couples appear delusional spouting stuff like “I don’t see color” and their kids are confused.

The same thing would happen with if Jessie was a black woman. She’d be called a bed wench and fake.

Jessie didn’t even have to add that tidbit in his speech. He was riding a wave and unfortunately it will make people him.
