They Didn’t Think Riding This Would Kill Them

the movie,
“final destination”,
scared me growing up.
i remember i watched the first one about the airplane and was shook.
i had to fly a couple days later and was terrified.
well the following is a real life scene like out of the movie.
a ride at the ohio state fair,
called “the fire ball”,
malfunctioned and sent the riders flying to doom.
i saw this graphic video and it re-affirmed…

…i’m gooooooooood on rides nowadays.
i don’t even fuck with “coney island”.
the wooden ass “cyclone” looked like it was on it’s last legs.
i remember being a cub and going with a church to an amusement park.
i went on this one ride,
and after being strapped in for like 5 minutes with no movement,
he is gonna tell us we were stuck.
the ride wouldn’t start and the over head seat belt thing was stuck.
we sat there for 20 minutes in the blistering sun waiting to get out.
nah homie.

many were critically injured and one person died in this incident.
according to cnn:

A chaotic scene unfolded at the Ohio State Fair after a ride malfunctioned during opening day — killing one person and injuring several others.

A video posted online appears to show several people on the Fire Ball ride seconds before parts of the structure, including a full row of seats, split up and fell.

Tragedy struck around 7:20 pm (local time) Wednesday at the popular fair in Columbus. The Fire Ball, which consists of at least six rows of seats that spin around 40 feet above the ground as the entire structure moves like a pendulum, broke apart while it was in motion.

Ohio State Highway Patrol Superintendent Col. Paul A. Pride said one person was killed and seven others were injured, two of whom are in critical condition.

Rhonda Burgess said one of her sons was standing in line at a nearby ride when the incident took place.
“The ride had four riders per cart. This piece snapped off and the riders came out of the cart,” she said. “At least two (people) flew through the air at least 20 feet before landing on their backs on the concrete.”

Within seconds, Kaylie Bellomy found herself in the middle of a crowd. She had been waiting her turn to get on the Fire Ball when she watched the turmoil erupt. Everybody was running. I got ran over trying to get out of the way,” she told CNN affiliate WCMH. “I just don’t think I’ll ever ride a ride ever again.”

Deputies asked attendees standing near the ride to step back as someone screamed “it’s my worst nightmare,” video footage shows. Workers were also seen placing barriers as medics and staff tend to those injured.

Three patients were taken to Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, hospital spokeswoman Eileen Scahill said.
As of Thursday, one was in serious condition and the two others were in critical condition, the hospital said in a statement.

rip to the victim and foxhole prayers to everyone who was injured.
ya know,
i wanted to go to “six flags” this summer,
but i’m all the way good on that.
be safe on these rides foxholers!
i’m the type to ask when last the shit was inspected!
i need to see the report and everything.
i ain’t with the shits.

lowkey: can’t ride a roller coaster.
can’t ride the train in new yawk because they got all kinds of issues.

hell,
can’t even ride a good dick without our lives being in danger.

  1. I have never been on a Ferris Wheel ride of any kind, and now I know, I will never go on a Ferris Wheel ride of any kind! lol

  2. That’s a big fear of mine because I do enjoy amusement park and fair rides. I hope those injured recover.

  3. I live here in Columbus OH and this is one of the reason’s why I NEVER go to the Ohio State Fair cause stuff like this. For one they put these rides up too fast and you can NEVER trust what might happen when you take that chance riding them. It’s truly sad what happened and my prayers go out to the victims family.

    1. ^i completely agree.
allegedly the ride was having issues right before the incident.
someone allegedly said one of the mechanics looked uncertain about it.
i think that’s why in the beginning of the video,
you hear someone say “they’ll be fine”.
      either way,
      that scared me.

      1. See SMH like I said earlier that’s why l don’t ride those type of rides (or a ride if at all) because you gotta remember they travel with those rides all over the place. It’s truly sad and tragic what happened.

      2. That’s one of the things that bothers me about these traveling carnivals/amusement companies. Taking these rides apart and putting them back together over and over, as opposed to the ride being “stationary” at an amusement park can’t be safe, no matter how much it’s inspected. Someone is bound to mess up sooner or later. I thought the ride was inspected 2 days prior and earlier that day?
And another thing you can’t fight….gravity! This was bad all around. I pray for that young man’s family. He was thrown 50 feet they say.
