5 Miles Til Blessings

gas-stationwe’ve been talking about so much bad stuff this week,
it has left me feeling empty.
we needed a refill on something positive.
i don’t know if you guys do this already,
but i do and it has provided nothing but blessings in my life.
sure i’m not living in my brownstone
or kerry rhodes isn’t in my kitchen cooking breakfast,
but i am beyond thankful for what i do have right now.
something told me to share it with everyone this morning…

i have a thankful journal.
i know.
what a nerd i am.
i fill it with all the things i am grateful for.
i won’t lie,
sometimes i forget for a day or two,
but i try to write in it every day.
it could be about anything.from something i made in the kitchen,
the blessings from the site,
paying all my bills on time,
or even an act of kindness someone did to me.
anything and everything.
it all goes in the book.
i say a prayer before i close it and i move on with my day.
if you don’t want to do it in a book,
you can even make a word document titled:

“WHAT I’M THANKFUL FOR…”

insert the date and update it daily.
a little something to bring more positive in your life.
remember when you are grateful for your blessings,
and acknowledge it,
more blessings happen.
it’s up to you babe.

  1. I love you for posting that vid. That song was my ishh bk in the day.

If anything, I am thankful for you having this platform and for sharing with us. Thank you.

  2. I’m not going to preach but remember to not only be thankful for the good but for the bad things, bad people and disappointments that hopefully taught you a valuable lesson and edified you for the experiences to come.

    HAPPY SUNDAY

  3. I’m thankful for all the great thing that have came my way, even though I don’t really express it very much as I should.

  4. Kerry Rhodes in the kitchen? What about your man Laron Landry 🙂 I keep a gratitude journal I got the idea from Oprah.BTW Jason Collins and family will be on OWN tonight 7:30 ET

  5. I’m going to start doing this! It really is a great reminder to know that God has sent great blessings in our lives, and we have no right to complain because someone always has it worse.
I hope you have a great Sunday Jamari!
